Amherst Baseball remembers Ronald D. Lashway Sr. He was a decades-long, devoted supporter of youth baseball and a pillar of the community.  May he rest in peace.

Visiting hours at Douglass Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 PM on May 26th, Service at St Brigid's May 27th at 10:00 AM.

Amherst Baseball, Inc. is a Massachusetts 501(c)(3) non-profit organization operating youth baseball leagues for boys and girls ages 5 through 17. Amherst Baseball is affiliated with both Little League International and Babe Ruth Leagues. 

Amherst Little League was founded in 1952 and Amherst Babe Ruth in 1953, and these leagues have been in continuous existence since their founding. Stan Ziomek, a member of the Western Massachusetts Baseball Hall of Fame and the National Babe Ruth Hall of Fame, was president of the Amherst Baseball Leagues for 60 years until his retirement in 2012. Since 2012, Amherst Baseball has been operated by a volunteer Board of Directors.

Hadley Softball joined with Amherst Baseball in 2019 to create the Hadley Amherst Softball program. This program is open to girls ages 7-12, and contains three age group divisions - 8U, 10U, and 12U.

Amherst Baseball and Hadley Amherst Softball are open to children who live or go to school in Amherst, Hadley, Pelham, Shutesbury, and Leverett. With permission, we also accept families from South Deerfield, Sunderland, Granby and other surrounding communities. Please contact us with any questions at amherstbaseball@gmail.com
